Typical Weekly Schedule

At Della Terra Montessori School, we strive to offer all students at least a three hour work period per day. On certain days we offer enrichment programs such as music and Spanish instruction. Click on the day name below to see a typical schedule for that day.

  • Mondays
    • 8:00am - 8:25amArrival
      8:30am - 11:30am

      Montessori work period - Children explore the prepared environment, receiving lessons and working independently. The children explore science, language, mathematics, culture & geography, sensorial, grace & courtesy, and practical life lessons and materials. Click here for more on the Montessori method.

      11:30am - 11:45amPlayground/movement
      11:45am - 12:30pm

      Lunch/dismissal - All children will have lunch together and then half-day students are dismissed.

      12:45pm - 3:00pm

      Nap time OR Montessori work period - Children under the age of four, who are legally required to lay down and/or nap, rest in the nap room adjacent to the classroom. Students over the age of four continue their work day with a stronger emphasis on math, language, culture & geography, and science.

      3:00pm - 4:00pm

      Snack/playground/movement/dismissal - Children have a snack and enjoy a variety of after school activities including arts and crafts projects, food preparation, reading stories, playing games and using traditional play materials.
